3D model description

Update: Added version for the 12mm sensor.

Update: Added versions for a 10mm sensor and a BLTouch as well as parts design improvements.

This Bowden setup X-carriage mount is based on the one designed by Tech2C which many people is using. Designed from zero, I added a holder for an 18mm probe and I also reduced the gap from the base of the carriage to the hotend, as I always had the impression it was way too large.

I designed the part on Onshape and all the files are free to use and remix. You can either use the .step files available here or work directly on Onshape.com (an account is free as long as all your designs are public). I designed the parts using variables for every single measurement so that it can be easily customizable.

Once printed and installed the offsets for the Marlin Firmware are:

18mm Version
X offset= 34 mm (actual 33.60mm)
Y offset= 11 (actual 10.40mm)
Z offset must be calculated for every installation

12mm Version
X offset= 33 mm (actual 32.60mm)
Y offset= 18 (actual 17.50mm)
Z offset must be calculated for every installation

10mm Version
X offset= 32 mm (actual 31.60mm)
Y offset= 14 (actual 13.90mm)
Z offset must be calculated for every installation

BLTouch Version
X offset= 29 mm (actual 28.50mm)
Y offset= 12 (actual 12.00mm)
Z offset must be calculated for every installation
