Version 2 of the Icom LC-192 Backpack! This model completely replaces the the plastic side panel that the backpack comes with.
This is what I believe is the ultimate antenna solution for the LC-192 backpack. This custom bracket is designed to securely hold the affordable Aliexpress 5.5-meter whip.

Added in this design is the splined hinge that securely holds an outrigger to keep the pack upright when the antenna is deployed. The outrigger leg has its own adjustment wheel, you can set the leg in any position to suit whatever surface you are operating from.
When its time to pack up and move on, just loosen the wheel again and fold the leg up out of the way. Wearing the pack, you do not in any way notice that this system is attached.

In the files section I have also included a model of the original plastic side panel so if you ever decide to sell the backpack you can return it to like new.

Using these whips is super easy providing a super simple (and crazy cheap) antenna, easily covering 20m all the way through to 10m probably 6m also but I didn’t yet try it so let me know!

If you don't already have one, you will need the PL to M10 adapter that is also found on Aliexpress.

Aliexpress shipping to Europe usually takes around 10-14 days to arrive.

For connecting the radials you will need a crimp lug that with an M12 hole to go over the PL adapter. I recommend at least 4 x 3m lengths but more would be even better. Extend/reduce the whip to tune to the frequency you require.
