3D model description

Oyé, Attention PARKSIDE product lovers!

Hello,

Owner of a LIDL wet/dry vacuum cleaner/blower, model "PARKSIDE PWD 25 C4", I propose a small HACK to improve the rolling and especially to remove the HORRIBLE sound of its original castors comparable to cheap office chairs, it's unbearable!

The vacuum itself is pretty cool and corresponds well to my needs, but when it comes to rolling or sliding on the floor, it's hell... ARGHHH!!!

But hey, given the selling price, it's only natural that they should reduce production costs wherever they can.

So I immediately thought of a solution to adapt "serious and silent" castors, i.e. sturdy and flexible for optimum comfort. It's a simple matter of inserting a sole into the original support on which the castors are fixed beforehand. In my case, I chose to use castors with a metal plate (32mm center distance), fixed with 4 Ø4x12 mm hexagon-head screws.

Just in case, I've also provided for the possibility of holding the baseplate in place with 2 Ø4 screws on each side, by placing a corresponding nut in the side slots, in which case the sides of the support will have to be drilled, but once the baseplate is in place, it fits perfectly in the housing and doesn't move one iota. The ride is TOP and the sound so much more pleasant, too good.

In any case, if that "Cheap Desk Chair" sound makes your hair stand on end or your vacuum cleaner gets stuck on the slightest pebble or other shavings, here's the solution! :)

As usual, you're free to fit the castors of your choice, within reason of course :)

Bye!
