Welin-Davit - Single frame

The Welin davit was a revolutionary boom for lifting and lowering lifeboats at the beginning of the 20th century. The revolutionary thing about it was that the davit could be swung in and out so that several boats could be lowered with one device.

This davit was also used on the Titanic and the Olympic, but here only as a larger and double-frame version.

The model

Assembly instructions are included in English and German. Each of the parts must be printed once. Certain parts are to be printed mirrored for opposite use on each lifeboat. Please read the instructions carefully.

Model building experts can also construct the davit to be movable. However, this requires separately procured materials that are not included in the set.

Our advantages

This model is not designed for any specific scale. However, please note that the quality of detail varies with increasing scale. The smaller your model, the more details will be lost or the more difficult it will be to print.

Any number of copies - The PrintShip3D advantage is particularly noticeable with the davits. As a rule, a ship is not equipped with just one lifeboat. The following still applies: Buy the product once and print the model as often as you need it.

You always have spare parts to hand and don't have to go to the trouble of searching for defective parts even after years of operation.

The limits of printing are determined by your 3D printer. The installation space of your printer determines the maximum possible scale.
