3D model description

This filament spool holder has a diameter of 43mm and a max. footprint of 60x60mm. It can be used with an extra ball bearing. I took one from a bicyle. It is very small and easy to slice, print or modify.

In case you need more grip use double sided adhesive tape underneath. Then there is also an adapter with a diameter of 48mm to 43mm. The 48mm was found using Sainsmart filament spools. The thing is very uselful for spools like the one from Sainsmart, that have very bad spools (like cardboard) and do not work too well in the spool holders where the spool is stored vertically.

So with one or more adapters you can build a rotating tower.

The baseplate has only 60x60mm so this filament sppol holder should be printable even on very small printers like mine here (OneUp Model1) or teh Printrbot. Maybe I add more adapters and variations over time. Enjoy.

3D printing settings

Used PLA, Just standard settings for the printer, No overhangs no support needed, a very simple print.

Note: If you donΒ΄t get the circles really round - check the belt tension of your X and Y axis, maybe it has to be increased.
