3D model description

Attach the 5" Makerbase Klipper Pad from Sovol on the left or right side of your SV06 or SV06 Plus. This bracket provides a stronger hold than the original, and the models are optimized for 3D printing (unlike the original design).

Left bracket

You can now mount the screen on the left side. It is 100% compatible with both the original case and my modified cooling fan case (click to see the model).

Since the attachment rails and knobs are not in the center of the screen the left bracket takes this into consideration and still leaves enough room between the print bed and the screen.

Stronger right bracket

Sovol simply ships the exact same bracket with their Klipper Screen upgrade as is used on the SV07 / SV07+. However, on the SV06 / SV06+ it secured with only 2 screws and T-nuts to the aluminum extrusion frame of the printer, without a side screw.

The biggest issue with the orginal bracket is that it does not rest on the side of the SV06/+ as it does on the SV07/+. There is an 11mm gap between the side of the printer and the bracket. I modified the design for the SV06/SV06+ so that it now securely rests on the side of the printer, providing much more rigidity.

Moving the screen on the left of the SV07/SV07+

Although I provide the left variant of the bracket for the SV07/+ as well, please note these printers do not have the necessary screw holes and you will have to reroute the cables too.

Models

4 models included:
* bracket SV06 right with extended side rest (also for SV06+)

* bracket SV06 left with extended side rest (also for SV06+)
* bracket SV07 right replacement for original (also SV07+)
* bracket SV07 left - printer needs modifications! (also SV07+)

My related designs:

* comes with universal GoPro style mounting option
* includes bracket locks (so the screen cannot slide out)
* wifi antenna and second Type-C port opening options

3D printing settings

All models are oriented the way you can print them without supports! Do add brims to the two edges which touch the build plate! See the attached slicer screenshot.

I printed out of PLA, with 0.25mm layer height, 2 walls, 10% cubic infill, 200mm/s speed. The left bracket for the SV06 is the largest model, it takes 72 minutes and 53g of filament to print it. The other models are slightly smaller.

I included the Orca Slicer project with my settings.

UPDATE 1: I updated the models to optimize for supportless printing! It prints faster using less material. Just make sure to add a large enough brim on the two edges which do touch the build plate.
