3D model description

Designed to stand up stable, and display the pouncing stance. Makes a great gift for your favorite Detroit Lions fan!

Model includes two files - the front logo face, as well as custom fit box to contain lights.

Any string lights can be used - I used 20 blue mini LEDs with a battery pack.

3D printing settings

First, decide what size you'd like the lightbox to be. Bring the face model into your slicer and scale it (X and Y together, leave Z at 100%). Write down the X/Y scale number you chose.

Now, reduce the Z scaling, so that the the lens part of the lion is about 0.5/0.6mm. It should be thin so that the light can come through. I printed with two layers at 0.3mm thick each. (0.6mm) total. 2 layers at 0.25mm thick would also be good.

(optional) Set up a color change after that so that the border can be printed in a different color. Like a darker accent color.

For the box, bring it into the slicer and set the exact same X/Y scale value as you had for the face. Leave Z at 100%.

To illuminate, I drilled a hole in the back and fed in a string of 20 mini blue LED lights. I lit them up and arranged them evenly, and used a little hot glue to hold them in position.
