3D printing settings

Recommended 3D Printing Settings:

TREE OR ORGANIC SUPPORT RECOMMENDED!!!

USE HORIZONTAL EXPANSION/XY SIZE COMPENSATION +0.2mm!!!

The design is a bit thin around the headlights.

Print Speed: 30-60 mm/s
Travel Speed: 80-130 mm/s
Material: PLA recommended, but you can choose your preferred material. I used PETG many times and it was successful.

Top Layer Ironing: Enabled with a 0.3mm space between ironing passes.
Perimeters: At least 2, but 3-4 perimeters are recommended for added durability.
Bottom Layers: 3-4 layers
Top Layers: 4-5 layers for a smooth finish.
Infill: 15-30% grid or triangle infill, depending on your desired strength.
Brim: Not obligatory but can be helpful for models with thin lines.

Supports: Requiered, listed at the bottom, because this is the most important part.

Cooling: Use cooling for PLA, but careful with PETG or ABS to prevent warping.

Specialized Support Settings:

Support Organic or Tree Support!!! Spacing: 3mm
Top Interface Layers: 2 layers for a smooth finish.
Overhang Threshold: 40 degrees
Top Contact Z Distance: 0.15mm
Bottom Interface Layers: 0 layers
Interface Pattern: Honeycomb or rectilinear grid
XY Separation Between Object and Support: 1mm
Cooling:
PLA: 100% cooling, helping maintain shape at overhangs.
PETG: 50% cooling, specifically at overhangs.
ABS or ASA: 30% cooling, to reduce warping and maintain stability.
These settings are optimized for achieving snug and effective support for your 3D prints while ensuring a clean and precise finish. Feel free to adjust them as needed for specific models and materials.
