3D model description

Rostock Universal Endstop Holder

this endstop-holder allows you to mount almost any endstop to your rostock. in some rostock-variants and/or endstops it can be hard to deal with attaching your endstop. this holder should allow you to mount them. originally designed for the "sainsmart mechanical endstop pcb".

this holder can easily be attached even without unmounting your whole printer, due to the fact, that the rods can be bend outwards a bit. just move your platform to the bottom, and insert at about the center of the rods. worked fine for me.

most variables are easy to adjust (rod-diameter, offset between them, height, mounting hole-sizes and so on), only the positions of the holes have to be done manually, but should be able without much scad-experience for it is mostly self-explanaining, but i also commented in the scad-file how to do this; should be easy.

without modification it e.g. fits my "zam kossel alt"-rostock variation with endstops mentioned above.

(Zam Kossel Alt -> http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:108724 )

(Endstops -> http://www.sainsmart.com/3d-printing/sainsmart-mechanical-endstop-for-cnc-3d-printer-reprap-makerbot-prusa-mendel-ramps.html )

if it fits not tight enought, you can additionally tie it up with a cable tie.

i also added some conical sinks to the holes, for easier screw insertion, but they can be disabled if not needed. the purpose is, that when you use M3 screws is shouldnt be hard to get them in due to the cone, but you cut into the plastic then, so that you dont need nuts on the opposite (but i layed some bewtween the endstop and the holder to adjust the distance from each other).
