3D model description

Pet food pouches are a really convenient method of feeding your cat or dog but, they do have some 'pain points'!

Getting all the food out without coating your fingers in sticky gloup is nigh on impossible, so I desiged a 'squeezer' to push out all the food.

This has been in use for our cats since 2018 and saves a lot of wasted food and mess.

The other problem is washing the pouches (yes that is a thing).
In the UK, there are various drop off points (mainly supermarkets) for recycling pet food pouches. BUT, they want them washed and dried to stop a festering stink being generated by any sloppy remains within the pouches.
Washing isn't really a problem as they can be swilled under a tap but drying them effectively is a PITA because they simply will not stay open to allow some airflow.

These little drying racks can be placed on your drainer, and the pouches popped over the top. They're made in 3 parts that simply slot together (you can use superglue to permanently fix the parts if you wish). The main reason for 3 parts was to allow them to fit the Royal Mail Large Letter format in the UK.

I've included both the 'flat pack' STLs and and the 3 parts in their assembled orientation - these should effectively print as one part but you may have to set your slicer to 'merge parts' or create an assembly (other names may apply, depends on your slicer)

3D printing settings

Food Squeezer
This is best printed out of PLA or ABS for stiffness. PETG is OK but the part ends up being a bit too flexible for my liking.
ABS can go in the dishwasher on a cool(ish) wash. PLA and PETG need hand washing.

Print with 6 walls/perimeters and 6 top/bottom layers.

Dryer
PLA and PETG are fine. ABS if you want it to go in the dishwasher (cool wash).
3 walls/perimeters. 3 Top/Bottom layers.
