3D model description

I wanted a decent bench to go with my piano. I made this one using the same leg profile as the piano itself, a Petrof P IV recital (scaled down to achieve the desired height). It's only adjustable by a few centimeters, thanks to the feet which screw into the legs, but at least it is stable and doesn't make any noise when playing, as many piano benches do.

Only the legs and feet are 3d printed, requiring about 1.7kg of pla. The two leg parts are assembled by screwing, thanks to this library and then glued to the seat with cyanoacrylate, which is very strong due to the large bonding surface (used 5g of glue for all 4 legs). The feet have a hole for an 8mm hex wrench. I made the seat in the "traditional" way from a 50*35cm 22mm thick board, 5cm thick foam, wadding, and vinyl (following some nice diamond tufting tutorials). The buttons are 3d printed and covered with the same vinyl fabric.
