Strobe/Flash Roundhead Reflector Modifier V2

Designed to fit roundhead flash for Godox V1 strobe light, photography flash. This design is able to be reversed when not in use for a lower profile, but easily mounted to provide a soft light on the subject when flash is aimed upward. The round mount allows turning of the reflector to control direction of light as desired, this I find valuable when holding the camera in portrait orientation allowing me to adjust flash accordingly and switching back to landscape orientation.

Held firmly by 8 magnets to the roundhead, there is additional support provided by the collar design that keeps it mounted during busy movements and bumps to the reflector. The intent of the reflector is to have the speedlight aimed up, and the the reflector directs 2/3 of the light towards the subject while allowing the remainder of light as a bounce flash to surroundings. When subject exceeds a certain distance I found directing the speedlight towards the subject more was needed, but reflector improved softness of light on subject in contrast to use of speedlight without reflector.

This has had many revisions to reach this design, I started with a straight design that form fit the flash when storage but lacked even light distribution and it fell off, a lot. I used the first design for a few weddings and found it nice to soften the flash, but terrible to pick up off the ground too often. I then designed a collar to hold it, but still found light cast to be uneven, so the final round design was reached with a maximum spread but small enough to still be always mounted to speedlight.
