3D model description

Update 17-APR-2017: Added a large version. The large version has space for a DC-DC converter, power jack and an antenna.

Parts used in large version:
DC-DC converter: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/DC-DC-4-5V-28V-to-0-8V-20V-Step-Down-Module-Power-Supply-Good/32394108681.html
Power jack: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Pcs-PCB-Mount-5-5mmx2-1mm-3-Pin-DC-Power-Plug-Connector-Socket-T1-/252479448058
Antenna: http://www.ebay.com/itm/98cm-38-5-7-Sections-Telescopic-Antenna-Replacement-for-FM-Radio-TV-CP-/331919180223
HX connectors: http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-XH2-54-2P-Connector-Kits-2-54mm-Pin-Header-20-2P-Housing-40-Terminal-/252489099978
(2) M3 x 12 flathead screws.
(2) M3 nuts.

The antenna looks a bit ridiculous. I thought of making a separate print just for the antenna that would attach to the side of case so that the antenna could swivel. There’s really no reason for it to swivel other than aesthetics. Note that the two screw holes of the antenna clamp aren’t equidistant from the large center hole, and will only mount properly one way. The clamp should also be printed separately at 100% fill.

Update 14-APR-2017: Slightly taller buttons, internally.

Update 14-APR-2017: New cover, one of the board support posts was slightly out of position, and on the last update I mirrored it by accident.

This is an enclosure for the fairly popular FM transmitter module available on eBay and AliExpress: http://www.ebay.com/itm/PLL-DSP-87-108MHz-Digital-Wireless-Microphone-Stereo-FM-Transmitter-Module-Board/232151192750

This should be printed without support.

The buttons print with minimal cleanup, but the button holes need to be cleaned out with a sharp utility knife. You’ll know when you’ve got the holes cleaned when the buttons move freely. Apart from that there’s not a lot of cleanup.

You’ll need to drill a hole for the antenna wire if you intend to add an external antenna.
