3D model description

Attached is an enclosure for the Arduino + Grbl shield. I have a Shapeoko 2 CNC machine and wanted an enclosure I can attach to the gantry plate.

I loosely mirrored the design from the diagrams available from Inventables (link below).

The lid accepts a 60mm x 60mm fan. The Arduino can be either screwed into the base of the enclosure or simply plug the Grbl shield onto the Arduino and clip into place (see the pictures for the internal thumb clip).

3D printing settings

I printed a draft copy on a Replicator 2X in ABS with a layer height of 0.30 mm, 2 shells and 10% infill. The bed temperature was set at 115 degrees with raft and supports.

I sliced the model using Makerware. Speed was set to 90 mm/s extrude and 150 mm/s travel.
