3D model description

I made these tray inserts to expand the storage capacity of my magnetized boxes for Warhammer Legions Imperialis. They are pre-sized to fill the 4L (US) Really Useful Boxes in the following configurations:

-Infantry Box
**4x LI_InfantryTray_v3
**2x LI_SentinelTray_v3

-Tank Box
**4x LI_TankTray

Simply print and add magnetic material to line the inside of the tray. The Infantry loadout will hold EIGHT Solar Auxilia Infantry boxes in a single 4L (US) RUB.

When the box is closed, the lid places a small amount of pressure on the upper trays to keep them firmly in place.

I have tested both .4mm thick steel sheet and .6mm flex steel to line the trays, and they both give enough clearance for the Solar Auxilia miniatures. Detachments with banners will fit in the Sentinel Tray. They will not have enough clearance in the Infantry Tray.

I have not yet built my Space Marine Infantry boxes, so I am not sure of the height of the Space Marine banner bearer or the Contemptor Dreadnaught. If they do not fit in the Sentinel Tray, you can adjust the tray height in the software of your choice. If you need to raise the height of the Sentinel Tray, you will need to decrease the height of the Infantry Trays to compensate, however there is plenty of room to do so.

When I get around to building my Space Marines, if they will need a custom tray height, I will make another bundle of trays and add them to this set.

Update 1/25/24
I have added MagBlocks for all of the remaining wave 1 tanks! All of the new MagBlocks take 5x1mm magnets just like the originals.

The first important note is that for the Kratos, the MagBlock sits on top of the 3 parallel armor strips on the bottom of the hull (no filing or cutting required).

The second important note is that the Leman Russ MagBlock magnet hole is slightly bigger to account for "elephant's foot" and bridging due to the print orientation. If you print this file in resin, you may need add a little greenstuff in the socket. If printing in PLA, no extra considerations are required.

Update 1/1/24:
I added files with recessed magnet wells to fit under Baneblade and Malcador tanks in order to help magnetize the tanks for storage. As I build and paint more tanks for the game, I will add MagBlocks for those as well. Using these MagBlocks may require filing or trimming detail off of the bottom of the tanks in order to get them flush. Lastly, the type of rare earth magnet required for each block is included in the filename (i.e. Malcador_5x1mm.stl requires 5x1mm magnets).

I will make a video detailing these on my YouTube channel soon. You can follow me at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC45V440_3vVCUAxbgBDpZLw if you want to check it out!
