To solve the oil crisis of the 1970s, research began on a new engine for passenger aircraft that would take advantage of the fuel economy of turboprop engines while increasing speeds to the same level as turbofan engines.
They have been called various names such as PROPFAN, OPEN ROTOR, UNDUCTED FAN and ULTRA-HIGH BYPASS engine, but I think they need to be unified first.
Among them, the following two models underwent flight tests in the 1980s, and achieved some success.
 ・GE36(GE+NASA)・・Turbine type, Contra rotating, pusher type
 ・578-DX (PW-Allison+NASA)・・ Planetary gear type, Contra rotating, pusher type
However, the research was discontinued due to the subsequent drop in oil prices and noise problems.  
On the other hand, Russia has a towed engine (D-27) that has been put into practical use.
In 2017, ground tests of planetary gear, double-rotating, and pusher engines were conducted at SAFRAN.
In 2021, CFM International announced its "RISE" program, which aims to make its first flight in 2025.
Unlike the previous engine, it seems to have a unique configuration: puller type, 1-stage fan + 1-stage guide vane.
As demands for a more sustainable world grow stronger, I believe it is necessary to develop engines that prioritize efficiency.
Therefore, in the past I have produced models of turbine type and planetary gear type engines and pitch-changeable fan sections.
Based on this, I thought it would be great if such a sustainable engine could be realized in the future, so I created my own new model teaching materials.

 The detail assembly manual including "Parts-List", "After printing treatment" and "Assembly procedure" are prepared based on "Standard Skill (Filing, Drilling, Tapping and painting)".
