3D model description

The Hobby ProBox is a modular portable storage system for paints, tools and miniatures for tabletop and roleplay games, including 82 STL files for FFF/FDM printing.

Everything you need is organized and well protected with the Hobby ProBox System. It consists of a robust but lightweight transport box with a rail system, which can be adapted to your own space requirements using various trays. These trays are designed to offer as much space as possible to store tools, paints, brushes, wet palettes, miniatures and more.
The Hobby ProBox comes in three different sizes S, M and L (more or less 2x modified M-Boxes). All Boxes can be printed on 210x250mm bed sizes (e.g. MK3S+). It is designed in respect of efficient printing and low filament consumption.

Design options
The front panel of the Hobby ProBox can be either printed closed or opened with a hexagonal pattern. By changing filament and color during print, you can achieve a really nice hexagon design. The flat panel is suitable for personalization by adding parts (text or other objects) by your slicer. In addition, an acrylic plate can be used to let the world take a look at the projects you have brought with you. To avoid carrying the front panel with you, you can slide it into the slots on the back side. The Hobby ProBox can be printed either closed or opened (hex pattern) on the back. The optional back panel can be printed in different colours and then glued to the inside of the Hobby ProBox with a few drops of superglue. This has a much better look compared to bridging or supports. Please check the assembly video for further information.

Modular Tray System
The tray system is modular and can be adapted to your requirements. These inserts are designed to store a wide variety of miniatures, paints, tools and accessories. The miniatures are inserted into a rail system, held and locked safely with a clasp.
Miniature Trays

The following base sizes will fit in the base sliders miniature trays.
- Round: 25, 28, 32, 40, 50, 65 mm
- Square: 20, 25, 40, 50 mm

The amount of miniatures that can be stored depends on the base size and how close the models are pushed together, but varies between 3-7 per row. With the tray for 32mm bases, for example, up to 5 miniatures fit in each row that result in a total 20 models per tray.

Also there are 3 types of mag trays available, so you can store multiple miniatures with magnets on it.
- Tray frame for metal plate (195 x 175mm)
- Tray for metal foils (195 x 175mm)
- Tray for magnets (5x2mm and 3x2mm holes)

Modular Organizer
All sorts of useful things can be stored in the organizer inserts, such as: token, cards, laser Pointer, measuring Tools, dice, pliers, superglue etc.

Paint Trays & Brushes
The paint inserts hold either 20/25 Citadel sized pots (32mm) or 35/42 dropper sized bottles (25mm) in a safe way. There is also some space for standard sized brushes (max 185mm length and 8mm diameter). Most of the available miniature paints will fit including Citadel, Vallejo, Army Painter, Scale 75, Two Thin Coats, AK Interactive, ProAcryl, and more.

Wet Palette & Brushes
The wet palette insert holds the "Army Painter" or "Red Grass Games Lite" palette and can be modified with a tool or brush compartment. The wet palette tray must stored in the top slot of the boxes as only there is enough space for it.

Accessories - Dry Palette
Dry palettes are designed to prepare your brush for drybrushing. This allows you to test how much paint is left on your brush without drying out the brush and paint, as it would be the case with a paper towel or similar. The Hobby ProBox System contains a dry palette that perfectly fits in the recess at the bottom.

Accessories - Water Pot
Print a practical water pot that is mounted on the miniature trays. There is one design for magnets and one design that can be slided into the 40mm minitature tray.

Accessories - Desk Storage Rack System
When you're at home, do you want to keep your miniatures organized and within easy reach? With this modular desktop rack system you can conveniently store your current projects and used armies and easily take them with you when you leave. This system is designed to be stackable so that it can be modularly adapted to your needs.

Accessories - Should Strap Support
For all boxes (S/M/L) there is a variant with an in-built carrying support. You can attach a shoulder strap to the 10mm holes so it's easier to carry the boxes with you.

Printing Details
The assembly is a matter of around 10min for the box. First glue the exosceleton (edge protection) on the edges of the box and optional the back plate on the inside hex pattern. Then install the handle with 2 screws. At the end you can glue rubber pads or furniture gliders as shock absorbers at the lower exosceleton. But there are also .stl files if you want to print shock absorbers by your own and there are also .stl files with those bumpers already inclued in the exosceleton.

3D printing settings

All objects can be printed on a bed size of 210x250mm (e.g. Prusa MK3S+ or bigger). Still if you only want to print the S-Box with all the trays (but not the rack system), you would need at least a printer with X:210mm / Y204mm / Z191 mm.

Print settings (of the box):
0,6mm Nozzle, 0,3-0,4mm layer height
