Description

This designer desk lamp is great for for a small work desk.

You can use PETG or translucent PLA for brighter diffuser, but normal PLA will work as well since the walls are only 1.5mm thick.

For more light you could unscrew the light kit001 and remove their diffuser on the LEDs.

Roughly about 8inches high and 6inches wide

Keep in mind you will need the BAMBULABS LED KIT 001 for this project.

https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/led-lamp-kit-001

Directions:

  1. Using the BAMBU Light Kit run the USB cord in the middle of the LIGHT MOUNT.
  2. Once through the circle of the LIGHT MOUNT, continue to the BOTTOM of the vase portion and out the back of the square hole on the bottom > Pull the wire and light switch all the way through the BOTTOM BASE.
  3. The LIGHT MOUNT will slide on top of the BOTTOM BASE.
  4. SNAP in the PLUG CAP to pretty up the wire
  5. Connect the DIFFUSSER by laying it on the LIGHT MOUNT ( super glue can be used to make to permanant)

Printed great after the designer updated the led base to reduce an overhang that I was having difficulty printing. The lamp looks great - a semi-transparent filament would further enhance the lighting but we’re happy as is for now. The lamp kit is a 7W version from AliExpress. * Body is eSun PLA+ - light blue * LED holder is Giantarm - copper silk * Shade is eSun ePLA-HF - white and Giantarm - copper silk

Can you please help me to find the lamp kit on AliExpress? What is the exact search term? Thank you!

Trying to print the light kit holder base on a X1 Carbon but there is a nasty overhang near the top where 2 walls are overhanging side-by-side. The walls end up pulling away from the print and get dragged around as string. I've tried silk PLA, eSun ePLA-HF, tried reducing overhang and bridging speeds, wall speeds, tried Arachne wall generator, tried 0.2 layer height, all without success. It will print well enough to be functional but curious if others have had the same issue but maybe just clipped off the semi-detached walls.

Can you snip a screen shot of the part in question?

Ahh... that's for the cable routing section. I actually didn't have any issues printing that part. I even tapered it so it would print without an issue. Do you have a picture of the failed part? You could paint on a support piece right there.

at first i didn't understand fully how the lamp shade diffuser attached to the base, but once i printed it, it made perfect sense and looks great this looks great and the lamp shade prints quickly so o can have various different diffusers to try. also this printed great on my a1 mini so i may upload a mini profile. BL PLA Matte ICE Blue + BL PETG Translucent Pink and Olive. i enabled manual tree supports for cable exit overhang, but otherwise it printed great. thank you

Hey that Looks great! I like the colors...Yeah, supports not needed. The overhang is very small and the bambu can print that in the air. Thanks for sharing!

Great lamp design. If I could, I would put these everywhere in my own home. Also uses the bambu labs led kit, which makes the whole process of assembling easy for newcomers.
