There are many pill organizers/cases out there, but none of them seemed to have all the features I wanted, so I created my own.
The requirements for my design were:
In order to meet these requirements, I chose to use a piece of 1.75mm filament for the lid hinge, and two more pieces of filament for the latch catch feature. Short screws on each end capture the filament in place. For the latch hinges, I used a screw for each lid/latch.
This pill case will replace my existing store-bought case that only has one compartment for each day (I glued two cases together for my use). It has labels that are wearing off, and is difficult to open. I also expect the “living hinge” on each lid to fail eventually. My case design solves all of these problems.
