3D model description

This design is a set of plant-pot holders covered in a semi-random pattern that reminds me of raindrops falling into a pond. The pattern is scaled with size for the various different pot types so that the raindrop patterns get a bit bigger on larger pots but also there are more of them so the balanced look is preserved.

This plant pot design is part of a collection of geometrically themed plant pot holders that can be viewed at https://cults3d.com/en/design-collections/Steve_Reading/geometric-flower-pot-plant-holders

I've supplied these designs in 2 versions, one with drain holes and one without for outdoor or indoor use. I've provided .STLs for some of the standard pot sizes that are listed at https://size-charts.com/topics/plant-pot-size-guide/ and if you've got a non-standard pot size then please feel free to DM me with measurements and I'll re-work the design to fit whatever size you need. You can of course scale this design to fit other pots yourself but I would strongly recommend sticking to uniform scaling, non-uniform will mean the raindrops aren't round any more which will look weird.

I printed this in PLA which isn't the most water resistant of plastics, it should work find in PETG, ABS or Nylon which would be more resistant or just coat the inside with varnish or epoxy to make it waterproof.

3D printing settings

0.2mm layer height (but use thicker on the larger pot holders)
0.5mm nozzle size
60mm/sec for best finish or go faster if you're in a hurry!
200C/60C
8% infill (but use more if your plants are heavy!)
Support shouldn't be needed on most printers
