3D model description

I wanted to upgrade my older version of the GEPRC Mark5 with the O3 Air Unit but I couldn't find any good supports. In particular, I didn't want to see the props in the O3 video but still have the camera protected. Furthermore, I am flying in an area with a lot of grass and I wanted to protect the air unit from ingesting too much shredded grass from the props. The images are proof how much grass was stopped from entering the quad.

Access to the USB-C of the FC and the SD Card of the VT are protected by removable covers.

Ensure to screw the VT lid plate to the top of the O3 air unit VT, to enable heat transmission to the top carbon plate of the quad.

This set of designs also includes:

  • Antenna protector. After ripping off one antenna flying through a bush by accident, I added this protector, which has worked very well.

  • GoPro adapter with battery stop. The battery stop, holds the battery back in a frontal crash, so that the battery doesn't smash into the GoPro with full force.

-Flight Controller Protector. The flight controller was always full of grass after rough landings on grass. This protector keeps it clean while allowing airflow to pass over the FC when in flight. The FC only got too hot once when flying in 40Β°C air in the sun in Greece.

In the images you can also see a GPS support for the iFlight M8Q-5883, and a support for the ViFly Finder v1/v2. These are in separate designs, as I suppose everyone has different GPS and beeper solutions.

3D printing settings

I printed everything with TPU 95A filament, which is pretty indestructible in crashes. It also removes some vibrations for the O3 air unit camera.

Most designs print without additional support. Some have support included in the design, which you need to remove before using the part. The GoPro support needs additional support.
