Description

Before using this model, please consider the original version by Benjamin Kott and if it fulfils your needs, use that instead and support the original creator.

I really loved the swatch box designed by @Benjamin Kott, but I wanted a version I could customise for me needs and use with my labelled swatches, so I've recreated the design from scratch, adding a few tweaks to the original design (label area for the spine, slightly adjusted dimensions for easier fit, improved edges for printing etc) and fully parameterised the model to be customisable to fit any number of swatch boards and fit any size of swatch board (easily controlled by just indicating the number of swatches per board and what board style is wanted (no labels, top label and/or swatch labels).

The official print profiles provide variations for 4x5 swatch boards in the layouts from my labelled swatches (no label, top (board) label only, swatch labels only, board and swatch labels). They all include sizes for 5-8 boards on different plates.

Note: The 4x5 ‘No Label’ board case is fully compatible with the original Bambu Swatch board.

Use the ‘Raw Model Files’ button to see raw models for all possible variations for 4x5 and 5x5 board sizes, and should you require any different configuration, simply adjust the favourited parameters in the Fusion 360 file to generate your own custom sized board case.

Note: The ‘No Label’ and ‘Top Label’ Models can be printed on small format printers like the A1 Mini, however, the ‘Swatch Label’ and ‘Fully Labelled’ versions will require larger print beds such as those on the A1, P1 and X1 models.

If providing 3D models under an Open licence, please be genuinely #OpenSource, release your source files with your STLs and make it easier for others to collaborate.

Here’s a photo. As you can see it’s a bit long so the boards tends to float in one of the sides. I just printed from the app without measuring anything, otherwise I would have shrunk the longest side a bit and it would have been perfect. Still, it works and looks nice. 😉
