This is my take on the classic fidget spinner. All spinning parts are gears and everything turns at the same time. Plus, they make a pretty satisfying sound.
Print them using the settings I have in the file. There are custom painted seams to avoid and issues with them being on the guide surfaces.
for the 3 and 4 small gear spinners, add the small gears to the posts, then drop in the big gear. Next, just press the top cover onto the posts and give it a spin!
The single small gear spinner is a little trickier because you may have to use a razor to trim the supports off of the tabs to make them fit into the frame. Since the big gear is captured, you can put either gear on the frame, then slot the tabs into the frame and press it together.
Use a build plate with the different textures for different surface effects. I have a couple of the Idea Former / Juupine build plates and the effects they produce are pretty cool on these. Also, You can flip the cover for the single small gear spinner to avoid having to use supports, but then you lose the surface finish on the outside of the body. I have included two additional plates that have pre-set color changes at certain layers, but feel free to color them however you like!
If you would like to make these and sell them, feel free to do so! All I ask is that you don't remove my logos and give credit for the design.
Also, I design a lot of things for RC cars as well and you can find the items I sell here: https://kmdesignslinn.etsy.com
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like the spinners!
