Description

A light box of your favourite cute psychopathic AI character, Miss Minutes.

This light box is designed to use the LED Lamp Kit 001 available on the Bambu store, but you can alternatively fit an LED strip around the inside of the body it'll work just as well.

It's designed so you can feed the cable for your lighting down either leg and shoe to help hide the cable on it's way out.

It's all very simple and pushes together nice and easily.

UPDATE 23.02.29
I'm happy to announce that I've uploaded a new version of the ‘Face’ part. The original tended to have a hotspot of light in the middle of the face due to the intensity of the light. This has been rectified by adding a slight increase in thickness behind the face, and making the ‘walls’ of the face part just 5mm deeper (adding less than 10 minutes to print time).
This has completely sorted this problem, and I've also made adjustments to ensure that the eyes and mouth don't have yellow filter in from higher layers.
A huge thank you to user @plc_one for their communication and suggestions in helping sort the hotspot issue!

I've updated my profile (marked ‘Designer’) with the new face design, and have also replaced the STL with it too.

Print Profiles
Please note, my profile (Marked with the green ‘Designer’ box) will always feature the most recent reversions of the designs, but other profiles may feature older versions of the design.

Printing Instructions

  • Print the following:
    • 1x - Face
    • 1x - Back
    • 1x - Left Arm
    • 1x - Right Arm
    • 2x - Leg
    • 2x - Shoe
  • Once printed, the arms just push into the slots on the side of the main body (the ‘Face’ part), then the legs slot into the body and the feet. It all pushes in and works great as it is, but if you wanted a little more rigidity, you can add the tinyest bit of glue to the legs and their fixings. The arms definitely wouldn't need it.

Print Settings

  • Layer height: 0.16mm (I printed it in 0.16 and that's what my profile is set to but really any size should work fine. This will really just impact the level of detail on the front of the hands and the top of the shoes).
  • Material: PLA (Up to you, I used PLA for this but I'm planning on re-printing it using a glow in the dark yellow which I think could look pretty cool)
  • Infill: Not too relevant for this print but I'm printing at 15% Gyroid infill

Really glad you like it, your print looks great and thanks for posting the pics. I think I'm going to Just it slightly to make the center or the face slightly thicker so it's less over exposed directly I front of the lamp. I know it shows up like that much more in photos than in person but should be a quick and easy fix. If you'd be interested in the adjusted version let me know and I'll make sure to reply to you here when the file gets is updated.

I used a generic version of the 001 light kit which I found on Amazon. works great. This was an easy print, it minimizes waste pretty well. Splitting it between plates helps a bit I think. the solid orange back and solid black legs can be done each on their own. I wonder if cutting the hands would too.

I used a generic orange silk PLA along with Bambu's black and jade white PLA

Looks fantastic, thanks so much for posting your make. That's a good shout about making an option with separate hands to print separately for faster printing with less purge waste, I'll look into it.

Here is the updated version. The light is now very well diffused and the bright spot in the center is gone.

awesome print. added brims to the legs just in case but came out perfect on an x1 and the textured build plate.

Great, glad you liked it. Would love to see how it came out on the textured plate. I favour the textured plate for most things but tend to use a flat one when doing face down multicolour. Would love to see how it looks with the texture though
