Description

Download V2 of the slide to get a slide that sits completely flush with the flappy door eliminating any step filament can get tangled on.

Remix of @Krall3 poop cover.

I had the issue that purged filament sometimes got tangled around the flappy door in the poop chute to further get stuck. Sometimes the purge did not get loose and the poop chute filled up completely with filament until the printer paused until the chute was cleared by me.

Especially on long PAHT-CF, ASA or ABS prints with lots of filament changes for interface material the poop chute clogging can be a problem since you can`t open the door unless you want your part to warp. I also think its going to be handy for long PLA prints with lots of color changes.

The Poop Chute Slide is easy to print without any supports. I advice to cover it in aluminum tape so no filament can stick to it. If you are going to use the Slide in a hot chamber I at least would print it in PETG (which works for me in a 60°C chamber for 24h+ print), but better will be ASA or a filament which has even better heat resistance.

To cover the Poop Chute Slide with aluminum tape, lay down a stripe on your working surface. Then place the Slide on it.

Step 1:

Step 2, flip it 90°:

Step 3 (optional), place two little heat resistant parts of tape on the red circled areas to make it stay in place even better:

Step 4, push the Slide into the poop chute (quite tight fit) and push it into place. Check whether the black wiper in the back still can move free without knocking on the Slide:

I hope this will also come in handy for others. Use on your own risk :)

Did you remix the model of this dude? https://makerworld.com/en/models/145761#profileId-158663 I mean it's very similar........

Nope, I remixed the model i stated. The model you are referring to is very different. It doesn't solve the issue I had. There is still a gap between the flappy door and this cover you are referring to.

C'mon you remixed that and he doesn't allow it. You just removed the square , where the silicon wiper must be inserted and post it...

Did you compare the Models? Its two different things. Whatever, I can prove to Bambu which model I downloaded and remixed. Report it and do your thing.

Such a relief! After having problems with clogs with almost every multi-color print and trying other covers without help (like the Remix used), with this cover has now been printing for 24 hours without any problems!

Absolutely Happy to hear this helped you! If you have printed it in PETG, i advise to Check the Cover from time to time whether it warped or not in the area the hot filament always touches while purging. I will upload an ASA and PAHT-CF print profile the next days and probably also another updated version to maybe make the cover even better.

Thank you 🙏 I guess it depends which Filament you are using If it will Stick or Not, however the tape kind of works like a heat barrier, too.

fits perfectly and the aluminium tape do the job pretty well.

I tried duct tape, and it doesn’t seem to work with petg not getting stuck cus it curls up more I guess and doesn’t get emptied. I’ll try aluminum tape and see if it works better, just don’t have any on hand. the piece does fit nicely and doesn’t seem to move at all. is there a spray I could spray on it possible that make it not stick at all

Duct Tape unfortunately won't Work at all. Hot filament will stick like crazy to it. You definitely will need aluminum tape. Maybe Teflon Tape will Work, too, but I haven't tried that yet. I unfortunately don't know about any Spray that might work.

I have some Teflon tape, thinking of using that to cover it. Do you think there's much danger of filament getting stuck in the gap between the device and the built-in flappy thing though?

There is only a minimal Gap between the Slide and the flappy door. i cant even Push my Finger Nail through it. i can also make a slightly larger Version where the Slide reaches 2mm more to the front, If you want to. Teflon Tape might work, too 🤔
