Designed to securely carry two FlexPen®.
Design consideration:
- Each pen stored in their individual chamber to avoid misplacement of unused pen while using another.
- Cutout allowing user to verify the presence of pen(s) in the case, and the color code of the pen.
- A shelf to elevate the injection button, so that even pushed down hard the button will not activate.
- Caps are secured via lanyards to prevent them from getting misplaced.
Printing consideration:
- Position the main body so that the opening of the chamber with the injection button shelf is facing up.
- Print the spacer, add a drop of super glue, and insert it into the chamber without injection button shelf. This approach allows the upside-down chamber to have a nice finish without the need of excessive support.
- 4x heat theard inserts are required, McMaster-Carr part number 97171a120.
- 4x 4-40 socket head screws are required, length between 1/4 and 3/8.
- Make 2 lanyards of suitable length, make sure the loop is bigger than the screw thread but smaller than the screw cap, McMaster-Carr reference.
- Apply a drop of high strength Loctite (e.g. 271) and install the lanyards and the screw. Install the screw so that the lanyards can turn freely. Let cure.
