Personal creation of a handbag in 3mm plywood.

WOOD ADN logo on front and back.

2 6X4 neodymium magnets hold the bag open.

All the wood has to be laser-cut, assembled and glued with wood glue.

The imitation leather will be glued with neoprene glue.

The model will be approximately 208 mm long, 160 mm high and 77 mm thick at the top and 110 mm thick at the bottom.

On a sculpfun S9:

• CP cutting at 150 mm/min, 80% power and 2passes.

• Cutting of imitation leather at 950 mm/min, 70% power and 2 passes.

For optimum results:

• cut out all parts (including imitation leather);

• Varnish ALL wooden parts with a colorless, waterproof spray, masking the area where the imitation leather will be glued with masking tape (so no varnish there). Leave to dry;

• Glue main bodies 1 and 2 as flat as possible and leave to dry;

• Apply glue to the back of the imitation leather (I chose neoprene) and glue this decoration in place. Leave to dry;

• Turn over the entire main body and glue on the front and rear logo protectors and the signature. Let dry again;

• Screw on the strap hooks, the right way round (pay attention to outside/inside);

• Locate which slots will interlace between the main body and the sides;

• Apply wood glue to the parts that will be in contact between the sides and the main body;

• Start with 1 side to be inserted in its place, starting with what will be the bottom of the bag, then fold the rest over, gluing the front and back together;

• Repeat for the other side;

• Check that everything is properly aligned; Allow to dry;

• Glue the magnets (pay attention to polarity so they attract and not repel!!). I opted for a two-component glue; let dry.
