3D model description

Basketball hoop with suction cups for kids to play in the bathtub.

This basket ball tub game can help children to develop hand-eye coordination, dexterity in bathtime while having fun. It can be used both indoors and outdoors since it sticks onto any flat and smooth surfaces thanks to its suction cups. Just need to stick the hoop on the bathtub or tiled wall!

Dimensions: 15 x 15 x 2 cm

Other elements needed:

  1. Aprox 3 meters of 2 o 3mm Nylon cord (the type that is used for macramé) or any similar cord of that thickness.
  2. Two suction cups 30mm (1,18") diameter. They need to have a mushroom type head. Heres the dimensions of the slot where they need to fit so you can check if your suction cup is compatible
  3. You are going to need some small rubber or foam balls for your kid to play with the hoop.

Assembly:

After printing both halves and removing the supports you can introduce the two suction cups into their slots and snap or glue both halves together (see disclaimer below). You can then knit the net for the hoop with the nylon thread, here's a video on how you can do that: https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxfFbRtjQTVy-Bs9jDN6Gt-P1QgjfbvMZ3?si=tYcSHwars8yjMD95

Disclaimer:

The two halves have been designed to fit together with a 0.2mm margin. Every printer and filament behaves differently so there might be some expansion or contraction that may cause the two parts to not fit together. I suggest that if you know how your printer behaves you adjust the “Hole horizontal expansion” (Cura slicer) or “X-Y hole compensation” in other slicers.
