Description

How did I design this?

My father takes several pills. His main difficulty is to remember to take the right pills at the right time. Therefore, I decided to design the following tool to ease the routine of people that take different pills at different times of the day (morning, noon, night).  To solve this problem, the following tool incorporates a clock with 3 coloured hands and 3 removable boxes. Each coloured hand corresponds to the same-coloured box, and both correspond to a specific period of the day.

Time of the day,   Clock Hand   Box

Morning                  Yellow      Yellow

Noon                     Orange     Orange

Night                      Blue            Blue

Once the hands are dialled up with the desired time, the pills of the corresponding box should be used. This routine will be followed throughout the day. Your only task, at the end of each cycle,  is to remember to fill in the boxes with the correct pills.

Building Instructions

No AMS

If you don’t have an AMS you can still complete the project by painting the 3 clock hands with a marker that is similar to the colors of your boxes. Perform the same trick to paint the clock numbers with a different marker.

With AMS

Make sure you match the colors each time you print a part. To print all the parts, you will have to swap colors in your AMS during the printing process. The project uses 6 colors. Have a look at the project pictures. On clock axis I have used a variable infill modifier to make it stronger. please keep this in mind in case you decide to use the raw project files.

General guidelines

Once you have printed all the pieces just follow the following steps to build the clock

Gather all the pieces.

First, install the Night Hand indicator following by the first O-ring.

Second, install the Noon Hand indicator following the by the second O-ring.

Third, install the Morning Hand.

Please note: to avoid unexpected movements the clock hands are tight fitted. Therefore, if by a mistake you install any of the clock hands incorrectly, it will be very difficult to remove it.

Happy Printing !!
