Description

24-02-2024: I didn't know I needed to have pictures of my models already printed, and because I don't really print my own files (with exceptions of course) I'll be using the picture from @fizzy_champa_1562228's make over on Printables. Hopefully this works ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

06-12-2023: Apparently I'm an idiot because I never saw the comments saying that the scaling and orientations were stuffed up so I scaled them to ~8000% and oriented them all to Hopefully print well so I hope these new files work better.

16-01-2023: I completely forgot that I was supposed to export and edit the model page on here so the extra week is totally my bad. I hope the left one looks a lot better printed now.

08-01-2023: I just realized I put the x'd out cats on the wrong side of the left blade so I will fix that in the next few hours and make them look a bit better so those will be fixed momentarily.

07-01-2023: These blades were the result of about 12 hours in Blender and just the desire to print out some cool looking sickles from a movie that I enjoyed. This was only my second project and I feel like the angles along the flat sections match the movie's slightly angular style.

I sliced the blades in Cura 4.8, 5.2.1, and PrusaSlicer. I think standing the blades up vertically will be best and for some reason the tip wasn't supported in Cura so I definitely recommend a manual support or two along the underside, but in PrusaSclicer the entirety of the underside was supported perfectly. I scale all of the files to 8000% (except for the slightly scaled down pin) because that's about the scale that sickles are in real life but that is by no means a requirement.

The handle model can be printed straight up and it shouldn't need supports in the pin hole. The pin I flatten to the build plate as it's supposed to sit flush with the blade and it shouldn't need any supports either. For the blades, other than the x'd out cat indentations on the left one, they're identical. So if you want to print out two right ones and paint the symbols on my hand or just leave them off completely that's totally up to you, the only thing it'll change is some additional supports on the symbols.

Honestly I'd be super happy with 5 makes, that would honestly be incredible so if anyone downloads this, just posting a pic of it fresh off the press would make my week.

I hope whoever finds this enjoys it, thank you very much and happy printing!
