Description

I wanted a clean solution for the runout sensor for my flsun q5 in connection with the bmg extruder and my dry box mount so I created one.

 

After inserting the threaded inserts and mounting the sensor, it has to be connected to the mainboard. 

A bowden tube is inserted into the lower hole, which goes into the extruder (the bmg extruder is mounted the right way up but upside down).

The following parts are needed:

- 2x M3 threaded inserts (ruthex style)
- 2x M4 threaded inserts (ruthex or short/cheap style = 4x4 mm)

- 2x M3x20 mm screw

- 2x M4x10 screw

- 1x M6 bowden tube coupling

- 1x filament runout sensor (links at the end)

 

I have uploaded two versions because I still had cheap m3 inserts and they are not exposed to much stress at this point. Nevertheless I have created a second version in case you only have ruthex style available.

Supports:   yes, only on bed and only under upper platform (as in the picture); Tree Support recommended

XY-Hole-Compensation:   0.1-0.2 mm recommended for better tolerances
