A modular name tag (or refrigerator magnet) with nearly endless customization potential. Names, Numbers, Logos, Emojis, Spotify codes, QR codes and much much more are just waiting to be created and attached. Remix the name plate. Make it wider or taller maybe even both. Use it as a fun message board at the office or to leave reminders for yourself or family around the house. The biggest limitation here is imagination and if you are reading this you probably have tons of that.

I have plans for a few symbols and emojis too. I was also thinking I could make a little inset to go into the grooves of the name plate which would allow you to add some colored lines under the text.

Once I have finished what I intend to make I will upload some blank STEP files as well as my fusion 360 file so that other people can easily create their own customizations without needing to do everything from scratch and guess work.

The nameplate has a round tabbed corner which will make it easier to peel off of a glass bed. Then you just need to trim the tab off the corner. I have printed it and it worked great.

Nameplate will attach to your shirt using 8mm x 3mm magnets.

UPDATE 060322: OK there is now a complete set of 10mm letters and numbers as well as a blank 10mm plate and a STEP file for the blank plate so you can customize your own.

UPDATE 060422: Added a backplate to go inside your shirt. Added MY NAME IS model. Added removal tool since the attachment method worked so well. Reorganized 10mm character set to be in alphabetical order.

UPDATE 060922: I intended to have the 15mm letters done before now but I needed to do a few other things and I also took the time to find a more efficient way to create the letters…its not as easy as I would like it to be but the 15mm set was much faster to make than the 10mm set so I will call that progress.

UPDATE 061422: I have added a nameplate stand which you can use to display your name tag. If for example you went to a convention where you had your own booth you could remove your nametag and stand it up on the table in front of you. I also added a QR code. Now i used a QR code generator addon by Kevin Ramsay. It cost $5 but worked really well for making custom QR codes. I have plans on make a Combination backplate and Stand by using a print in place hinge design but for now they are separate things.
