Description

Flies slower and more accurately than v2, at the cost of reliability and build difficulty. Is more durable and can be modified more.

 

Print with 100% infill in PLA. A brim isn't needed.

Wait until the build plate is cool before removing the glider to prevent bending.

Fold the back wings 90 degrees towards the flat side of the glider.

Fold the elevators around 45 degrees towards the flat side of the glider.

Fold the main wings up around 30 degrees towards the flat side of the glider.

 

Refer to the thumbnail to make sure that the glider is adjusted properly.

 

Throw the glider with the elevators facing up. If it veers to the side and falls out of the air, bend the main wings up slightly. If it doesn't fly far before hitting the ground, bend the elevators up. If that doesn't work, bend the main wings down slightly.

Prints great, I had adhesion issue my first attempt, cleaned the plate and spun model 180, printed second time no issue. Test flights so far are good, still tuning.

Could you please attach a photo of the folded glider? It should fly fine if printed in PLA on 100% infill and folded properly. It also has to be thrown with the weighted side of the head facing down and the elevators/stabilizers facing up. The main wings should also be in a slight V shape.

pretty cool, could probably do with one more layer on the wings and remove a little from the nose but surprisingly fun. I just feel like the wings are a bit fragile
