Tamiya TT-01 / TT-02 Battery Quick Release Set

Are you tired of hurting your fingers and losing your clips whilst replacing your Tamiya TT batteries? And doesn't it also take much too long, especially during a race?

Instead use these quick releases and replace both the current two mounts, the clips and the holder plate of your Tamiya TT's standard battery compartment. That will allow you to swap your batteries quicker, it will free up space in the chassis and of course the quick releases weigh less than the standard battery holder with their massive plate.

The model includes five different handles that allow you to adjust the quick release for different battery heights - between 23,5 and 25,5mm.

The quick releases will work both with a TT-01 or a TT-02. In order to put this together you simply need to remove the old battery holder (including the two mounts), insert the new kit adding two M3x12mm countersunk screws - one from the top and one from the bottom for each mount of your new quick release. You can re-use the two screws that keep your current mounts attached to the chassis of course.

You will get good results when printing the quick release with walls set to 12 and infill set to 80% (gyroid). Please also use both 4 top and 4 bottom layers. Ideally use a filament with good layer adhesion like TPU or another robust material. You will have to switch on support for the print, please use traditional support instead of tree support as that will be easy to remove after the print.

The optional handles that are provided with this package support all common 2S battery sizes. In case your batteries are even a little higher than what is covered here or you want to use batteries with different heights during a race you can print the handles with a flexible filament like TPU so that they can accommodate minor differences in height.

In case you have got a multicolor capable printer you can optionally add colors to the height indicators of the handles (see pictures), otherwise you can of course simply use a color pen to paint the markers on the handles or simply keep them one-tone.
