This package contains STL files with the letters, numbers and special characters of the font "DynaPuff". There are 3 different inlays for each letter (see images)
This package contains all upper case letters from "A - Z", the umlauts "Ä Ö Ü", the lower case letters "a - z", the umlauts "ä ö ü, that "ß", as well as all numbers from "0 - 9".
This package also contains the following special characters: "~ ' ^ ` @ ° , . > # ! ? / ( { [ % & § * + - € $ £ ¥"
The STL files are organized in a separate file folder for each character.
For the sake of clarity, these are located in the four different folders:
"Capital_Letters" (capital letters),
"Small_Letters" (lower case letters),
"Numbers" (numbers) and
"Special_Letters" (special characters)
Each character consists of at least four (x_body, x_inlay_1_1, x_inlay_2_1 and x_inlay_3_1) STL files.
On the one hand, this is the basic body and, on the other, the three different inlay shapes (_inlay_1, inlay_2 and inlay_3).
For some characters, several inlay files (x_inlay_1_1, x_inlay_1_2 etc.) are available due to the geometry of the character. For the % character, for example, three inlay files (the dot at the top left, the slash and the dot at the bottom right) are required. This means that there is one body file and 9 inlay files in the "percent" directory.
The pointed edges of all base bodies and the inlays were given a radius of 0.5 mm so that no overhanging edges occur during printing and the inlay fits well into the base body.
Furthermore, the inlays are 0.3 mm smaller than the recesses in the base bodies to counteract tolerances so that the inlays can be inserted easily.
The capital letters and numbers have an average height of approximately 182 mm and a depth of 50 mm.
The surrounding border is 5 mm wide.
The back panel and inlays have a thickness of 1 mm, which has proven to be very stable and. When LED strips are installed, the 1 mm thickness of the inlay also provides good transparency and diffusivity.
The widest character has a width of just under 205 mm and the highest characters have a height of just under 240 mm, so that each character can fit on a 254 x 254 mm print bed, such as that of a BambuLab P1P, without scaling.
For other print bed sizes, the individual characters must be scaled accordingly.
We recommend scaling the letters only in the XY direction and leaving the height unchanged, as otherwise the back wall and the inlay will also lose thickness.
To ensure that the inlays fit, they must of course be scaled in the same proportion as the base body.
Please note, however, that the wall thicknesses of the inlay side walls and the bar for the support etc. are also reduced when the size is reduced. As the inlay wall thickness is only 1 mm thick and the bars of the bodies are 1.3 mm wide, a reduction in size can result in very thin outer walls and a very small contact surface for the inlays.
