Description

I have printed several poop bins and chutes, but none of suited my needs perfectly. Bambu recommends not covering the poop chute, as it also serves as ventilation, so I removed the chute I was using. I had a garbage can under my desk that caught most of the printer's poop, but often times I would find random piles around the office. I designed a poop bin that attaches to the back of a Husky Manual Crank Workbench, that can be pressed snug against the wall. I then placed my printer along the edge of the desk, so the poop falls right into the bin without the needs to guide it. Since I printed it this weekend, I haven't stepped on a surprise piece of poop in the office since.

This bin is tall, 250mm to be exact, the max height allowed on the X1C without modifying the printer's settings. It's also 254mm wide, so it covers a good portion of the printer, well more than enough to catch poop dropping such a short distance. I am posting a couple versions. The offset version has the magnets squished to one side of the poop bin, to allow you to put the printer as close to one side of the workbench as possible, a very situational version. The other version has aligned magnets in case you would like to print one to attach to the wall or with magnets anywhere else.

You'll need 3 large strong magnets to hold this up, and I recomend the rubber coated magnets on Amzon below. I tried some 100lb strength magnets, and they were so strong I could barely pull the bin off the table, and the scratched my workbench if I slid it at all. The rubber coated magnets are plenty strong, the rubber coating prevents them from sliding much, and if you do move the bin, they won't scratch whatever you attach it to.
