here is a description explaining the concept and inspiration behind the design…

First of all this is the first contest that I have made an entry for. and I could imagine as many others do that this contest is meant to be a copy of Printables Kit Card Contest  https://www.printables.com/contest/392-kit-cards but they have very different verbiage for their contest than MakerWorld.com has for this contest. though the banner for this contest contains images of figurines and a model airplane I follow the Verbiage over graphics as I think anyone should do, when provided with verbiage such as the Design details for this contest. 

Even if the words of the design details were created with the aid of AI, I think that the words should not be ignored as though they have no effect or meaning to inform creators what the boundaries for this contest are.  

No doubt many other creators feel the same way because many of them have chosen to create tool kits, instead of toys for kids.

the words “KIT CARDS ARE… VERSATILE TOOLS” contained in this contest details have no exception. that is a constraint that Printables did not have in their contest by the same name.



 

I made this graphic to try to help simplify and clarify how I comprehend the words in this contest…

 


 

so I made this phone stand kit card, it has complaint hinges in 3 axis that allow the two connected side parts to bend up and the back to bend up the same way and with a leaf spring effect near the hinges on the chassis foundation all three bent sides clip together into a stable phone stand that has the versatile ability to be oriented in two positions, one that allows your phone or devices to rest in a 45 degree position and one that is more vertical you can choose the orientation that satisfies your taste in aesthetics.

and adding to its versatility it has small clip elements in a number of places (4 in this design ) that help the two attached side parts and back clip together with the chassis and hold itself flat for easy storage as any other credit card would be stored in a typical wallet…

it is a Card and can easily come from a greeting card or brochure etc. because it is Flat and thin like a Card is!
it is a Kit , it has a number of attached parts that work together.
it is a Versatile Tool it functions to help you hold your devices or other items in two orientations and snaps flat when done. 
it is fun yet more than just a toy for kids

it prints fast and there are no supports or wasted material. 
 

This is a phone stand that is the same size as a credit card.

I can move the cut lines, hinges and snaps to accommodate art work and or text on front and back so it can be a business card as well.

it can hold business cards and even most full size tablets in a pinch.

this is meant to be a convenient Item to keep in a wallet, or pocket so that a phone stand can be easily employed or handed out as a business card.
