Description

When I was looking for an AMS riser I wanted a specific style, but I also wanted one with bevelled inside edges to allow me to add a COB LED strip that I could plug into the 5V USB plug of my P1S. I could not find anything that had the LED option and I did not want to print a second slim riser that had LEDs, as some have done. What I did find that I liked was the X3D-v3 AMS Riser created by lehighluke (link below). His riser is a remastered version of the X3D-v3 Riser | Bambu Lab X1/P1 AMS Stand by DutchWorkX3D (link below). Even though neither had an LED option, I had an idea modify the design. I printed the riser as-is, designed the parts that could be CA glued to the original design to test my idea, and allow those that have already printed the original risers to add LEDs, then created a remix with my parts integrated into the design. That is what this remix design is.

If you already printed the remastered or original version of this X3D V3 AMS riser, you can use my add-on parts to avoid reprinting the entire thing: https://www.printables.com/model/782481-xerses-led-add-on-mounts-for-remastered-x3d-v3-ams

My version of this AMS riser, like the remastered and original versions, fit the Bambu Lab P1S and X1C.

For this remix version, included in the file section are the STL files for you to modify as you like. Also included is a Bambu slicer 3MF file with all four parts, oriented as I printed the remastered version, and with the settings I used.

I printed everything with 0.2 standard settings, with bed only supports, using black Sunlu PLA Plus and PLA Meta.

The COB LED I am using is the USB with button, 2 meter version of this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004585867911.html

UPDATE 2024-03-06: I am actully using the remastered X3D v3 riser, plus my LED add-ons that I made to test this idea, but this remix is essentially the same thing, just printed as an integrated design. If you would like to see how the LEDs are installed and up close pictures of the results, please download the PDF file I created.

UPDATE 2024-04-09: I had forgotten to download and include the connector and glass holder STL files since the remastered version does not include them and you needed to get them from the original version. I just downloaded and added the STL files to the file list. Just click on the “Raw Model FIles” button below the “Open in Bambu Studio” button to see and get the STL files.

This is the riser I am using, that I used to create the add-ons, and to make this remix - Remastered X3D V3 Riser by lehighluke: https://www.printables.com/model/730961-x3d-v3-ams-riser-rebuilt-for-printing-without-supp *** IMPORTANT NOTE about the remastered version I used (see the comment I posted). I printed the AMS riser parts on their sides to make sure the large overhangs were perfect.

This is what the remastered AMS version is based on - X3D V3 Riser by DutchWorkX3D: https://www.printables.com/model/564394-x3d-v3-riser-bambu-lab-x1p1-ams-stand.

*** If you have either V3 version, my add-on parts should work without issues, so you should not have to reprint my entire AMS riser remix. See link above for my add-ons. ***

Printed perfectly in EleGoo PETG, would have been nice to have all the connectors etc included, I had to hunt them down from the original.

Thanks for the comment and for reminding me to get the connectors to add them to my make. I kept forgetting that the remastered version did not include them. I will download them and add them to the STL files section. Thanks!
