3D model description

A design for an RC formula 1 car, designed for performance and track racing.

Inspired by Daniel Noire's Open RC F1 Car project, this new design adds a whole list of new features, which are designed to make the car as fast and competitive as possible such as;

  • Full shock Suspension (Front and Rear)
  • Stronger Aero-Designed Floor Build
  • Working Optional DRS
  • 2023 and 2021 design files included, featuring team design choices such as Ferrari (SF23), Mclaren (MCL35/36/60/38) and Redbull (RB16/19) and Mercedes (W11/14)
  • Different Drive Train options (Gear/Belt)
  • Larger electronics bay, for larger batteries for better performance
  • Optional designs for metal part upgrades

This is a project for any F1 or RC builder fanatic, bound to provide a great design and printing experience to whoever wishes to take a more advanced take on the original Open RC F1 Project, designed for what we love most, racing.

3D printing settings

Note: All parts in the pictures attached and designs, were printed on a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, however you can print them with any standard FDM Printer such as an Ender 3V2.

Non-Functional Parts

Material Choice - PLA
Print Layer Height - 0.2mm
Nozzle - 0.4mm Standard Nozzle
Infill - 20-40%, Gyroid infill (The more infill, the stronger the part at the sacrifice of weight)

Floor Parts

Material Choice - Tough PLA
Print Layer Height - 0.2mm
Nozzle - 0.4mm Standard Nozzle
Infill - 40-60%, Gyroid infill (The more infill, the stronger the part at the sacrifice of weight)

Rear and Front Axle Parts

Material Choice - ASA (or any material suitable for high temperatures)
Print Layer Height - 0.2mm
Nozzle - 0.4mm Standard Nozzle
Infill - 100%, Rectilinear infill
