ROBOT GUNS N ROSES - APETTITE FOR DESTRUCTION - EXCLUSIVE.

THIS ICONIC ROBOT, BELONGS TO THE VETOED COVER OF THE LP APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION, AS A MUSICIAN AND FAN OF GUNS N' ROSES, I DESIGNED IT MY WAY, AND HERE YOU HAVE THE RESULT, AN EXCLUSIVE PIECE NOT EXISTING IN THE MARKET, SPECIAL FOR THE COLLECTORS AND LOVERS OF GUNS N' ROSES, OF THE GOOD ROCK, OF THE GOOD MUSIC, I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT!

REVIEW:

Even 30 years later, the scene is shocking. An apparently raped woman, her garments torn and her underwear pulled down to her calves lies on the floor unconscious, while a robot stalks her and is about to kill her. Over her head, a red beast comes leaping over a fence.

Such was part of the spirit that the Guns were trying to reflect: the idea of danger around the corner, something that would in turn showcase the whole grimy, streetwise vibe that reigned in Los Angeles in those days. A cover as powerful and suggestive as the sound that comes out with the chords that open the album.

But how did this cartoon end up being a possibility and why did the label decide to replace it with the one we know today?

The image, made by American artist Robert Williams, would have been seen by Axl Rose on a postcard. Immediately, the singer thought of it for the cover of his first album. However, Geffen, the quintet's label, saw the problems it would have because of the crudeness of the image. The album was released with that cover, but was later withdrawn, because some record stores were reluctant to sell the album with that image. Even MTV put restrictions on the band because of that content.

But the story has a not-so-well-known precedent. Rose, by those years with an innate talent for conflict, had thought of a cover with the shuttle Challenger exploding, which was shot down.

Finally, the band decided to put the iconic cross design with the skulls representing the five musicians on the album cover, done by Billy White Jr.

However, after all the controversy, today it is possible to purchase Appetite for destruction on vinyl with the censored cover. As life would have it.

3D printing settings

EVERY MACHINE IS A WORLD, IT DEPENDS ON THE CONFIGURATIONS THAT EACH USER GIVES TO THEIR MODELS, BUT I GIVE MY SUGGESTIONS, FOR A BETTER FINISH I PERSONALLY USE:

LAYER HEIGHT 0.1 ( YOU CAN TO MINIMIZE TIME DO IT IN 0.2 )

BUT AS WE WELL KNOW YOU WILL HAVE TO GIVE IT A NEATER SANDING POST-PROCESSING.

IN LAYER HEIGHT - 0.1

THE SANDING IS LIGHT, IF YOU WANT IT TO BE VERY SMOOTH, WHICH I RECOMMEND, IT DEPENDS ON THE PATIENCE AND THE CHARACTER YOU WANT TO GIVE TO YOUR PIECE, IF YOU ARE A PERFECTIONIST ...THEN LET'S GET TO WORK.

SUGGESTIONS:

SCALE - 55%.

BACKFILL ( 10% TO 20%)

LEGS AND ARMS ( 20 TO 30%)

SMALL PARTS ( 20% )

HEAD SPHERE ( 30% )

WALL LINES RECEIPT - 2 ( or 3 AS WISHED )

BRACKET - YES ( IN SMALL PARTS AND PIECES )

TYPE OF ADHESION : SKIRT

THE MODEL IS MADE TO AVOID AS MANY SUPPORTS AS POSSIBLE, AS YOU WILL NOTICE IN THE ARRANGEMENT AND DESIGN OF THE PIECES TO GLUE IN HALVES ( WITH CYANOACRYLATE ) AS APPROPRIATE AND CAN BE SEEN IN THE PHOTOS.

NOTE :

THE SHOES HAVE LIKE BREAKS IN THE HEELS, IT IS NORMAL, IN THE CONTEXT OF THE CHARACTER THE SHOES ARE WORN AND OLD.

IF YOU WANT YOU CAN USE HEAT TO BEND THE TIPS OF THE SHOES UPWARDS LIKE THE ORIGINAL FIGURE ON THE LP COVER ( OPTIONAL ).

SOME PARTS ARE FOR GLUING AND OTHERS (FOR FITTING AND SECURING WITH CYANOACRYLATE GLUE).

GO AHEAD AND HAVE A GOOD IMPRESSION !
