Description

Peep Hole Blocker/Cover

Hey everyone, this is my take of a peep hole blocker. With my house being fairly old, the peep hole wasn't safe and I decided to make this a safety precaution. Even if your home is new, you can still print this to block out all light, as even the newer models of peep holes being able to see through with enough light. This is a simple model that was made to block out anyone who wanted to look through a peep hole, and is great for all houses.

Instructions to Print With:

For this particular print, these are the settings I used (Only if you aren't using Bambu Labs Slicer):

- Layer height: 0.2 mm

- Infill: 20%

- Supports: No

- Raft: No

- Material: PLA+(Anything will work)

- Nozzle Temperature: 200°C

- Bed Temperature: 60°C

- Speed: 250mm/s for everything, 200mm/s for Top layer

My specific print came out pretty bad due to my flow rate being a bit low, but that's situational for different types of filament.

 How to Apply:

For this print, there are 2 models available to print. The version with screws can be applied with screws and fit mainly every type of door. The other version is without screws and fits literally all types of doors. Personally, I printed the one with no screws because I had double sided tape, making it look more clean (in my opinion).

For the screw model, you can just print it and use screws to apply. For the non screw version, you can just print and use tape. I would recommend using double sided tape as that will look a bit better aesthetically.

Other Information

If you end up printing this (thank you!), then please try to take photos of it and upload them here. These photos took super long to make and still came out fairly good. I am also a 14 year old modeler trying to save up to a X1C to buy with gift cards from Maker World. I know some of my models may be poor quality, but please overlook that and share this model with others to support me in my journey there. With this, I am also trying to learn how to 3D model better, and you may see improvements in my models as I go on. If your still reading, cool & thanks.
