3D model description

This is the American M4, a High-Explosive Blast (HE-Blast), manually armed, pressure-actuated, Anti-Vehicle (AV) blast landmine an upgrade of the M1A1 landmine.

The M4 is identical to the M1A1 type except for the booster, the fuze, and the additional fuze wells.

The M4 has one fuze well on the bottom and one on the side.

Since the booster, after loading, becomes an integral part of the landmine and since the M1A1 and M4 boosters and fuzes are not interchangeable, the M1A1 and M4 and their respective fuzes must be kept separate.

The two landmines are assembled, armed, and employed in the same manner.

The advantage of the M4 is that the internal construction of the M4 fuze makes it safe to re-use because it is not made more sensitive by repeated light blows.

The steel main body has a central fuze well and a single filler plug on the top surface with an additional fuze well on the side and underneath.

Tactical landmines are painted olive drab (OD) with identifying markings stenciled in yellow on the top of the landmine.
