Description

I've always loved the look of A-Frame houses so I decided to design my own miniature model, and make the house into a fun kit card to assemble. I've seen some other house kit cards, but haven't seen the A-frame style. The estimated assembled dimensions are 3.8" tall, 4.6" wide, and 3" depth.

I posted an STL file and a STEP file in case you wanted to modify the design to your liking or print the individual pieces instead of printing the kit card version. I'm in the process of getting this part printed and will update the post with any feedback and some photos of the final part. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Thanks!

***UPDATE 3/15/24***

I made some modifications to the design so that the parts fit a little more snug together. The STL files are labeled with today's date (03.15.24). My first print was a little difficult to assemble and I had to use super glue to keep the house in tact. Also, I had some build issues with some stringing and some other defects that I had to cut away with a blade. But I'm happy with the size of the house and the overall design. I'll keep testing out some prints and continue to refine the design as needed. I appreciate everyone's interest in the design. Please bear with me as I am still new to designing parts for home FDM printing. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Thanks!

looks amazing . did you paint it? any chance for an ams version with colored parts or maybe someone can just cut out the couple pieces that can be a lighter color, and separate them on a separate plate or far enough away to print "by object" instead of "by layer" in bambu studio -other- tab ... and is this an accurate way to build a real house? is this an educational toy for architecture? I mean even for highschool and college level these days it could be super useful to have more of these.

Hey, thanks for your comments! I did not paint it as I'm still working through some test prints and optimizing the parts. As far as an AMS version, I believe there is a way in Bambu Studio to select different faces/surfaces to paint different colors. Unfortunately, I do not have an AMS at the moment. I just recently purchased an A1 mini and only running a single color. As for an accurate model for a real house, I did reference some photos of real A-frame houses, however, my design is in no way an accurate scale architectural model. My design is more of a fun puzzle/toy house. Hope that helps! Thanks!

Didn't hold together on its own and was very difficult to glue. I ended up giving up and throwing it away
