Description

A side mount spool holder module for Modular LED Riser from @benjaminkott

If you not planning implement that great riser, you can try my rear side mount which shares the same design language.

 

Mount itself inspired by Side Mount Spool Holder from @ryan.fransen

Also, i added Voron Style Spool Holders, some PFTE tube can turn into a very smooth roller, try it out!

Highlight of this model:

  • Minimalistic, strong and durable design.
  • Just insert into the riser's slot, gravity will do the rest.
  • Compatible with using AMS module together.
  • Compatible with using my rear side mount together.
  • Added Voron Style Spool Holders (use PFTE as roller)
  • Compatible with @ryan.fransen original spindle adaptors (notice screw thread is left hand)
  • Adaptor for holding filament directly, or use a PC4-M10 fitting

Print guideline:

Main Body: use 3 walls, 30% infill, add outside brim

* Short Version not compatible with AMS Lite Spindle

 

One tube roller: use 4 walls, 40% infill plus, print it vertically

Two tube roller: use 3 walls, 30% infill minimal, print it laying down

Note:PETG or PLA+ are recommend. Cut the PFTE to 83mm length.

The print came out great and fit right next to the AMS riser. I forgot the threads were reversed and I couldn’t get it to go in at first. Once I remembered that it came out great!

Overture Space Gray PLA. I calibrated overture PLA when I first started using it and it’s easily my favorite PLA to print with
