I couldn't find just the right size desiccant holder, and I wanted the bonus of having something that sits snugly next to the build plate in the chamber for extremely hydroscopic filament prints on particularly humid days.
2mm wide holes, so this will only work if your desiccant is of the beaded variety larger than 2mm.
Nylon isn't cheap, so I like a little extra protection from the not-fully-sealed chamber of the X1C. In my experience this, along with the heat in the chamber will decrease humidity well below 15%.
Obviously, I wouldn't choose to leave the container in the chamber after the print is completed, and place it back in the dry box with the filament.
Printing in ABS or PETG allows you to use to heated bed to recharge the desiccant!
