3D model description

Against the Ogre Horde is the newest expansion from Hasbro for their Heroquest line. Unlike the other sets, which were basically updates of the 80s boardgame, ATOH contains a new set of skirmish rules, similar to killzone, or, dare I say it, Bloodbowl, also allowing you to set monster against monster. This is all well and good, but the policy of Avalon hill for only expecting you to have the base game, and the current expansion means theres over 20 monsters, mercenaries and mages available to play, not covered in the standard roster sheet.
The 3d printed part of this kit is an octagonal base, into which the heroquest miniatures can click. It can be spun round, removed, and most importantly, used to indicate who multiple heroes, mercenaries and miniatures belong to. With the tight tolerances, I recommend you print them in the desired colour, to indicate your skirmish team, or ownership of familiars and hirelings.
There is also a double wide clip which accommodates the giant wolves, ogres, and the dread wraith.

Also included is an expanded roster sheet, which bands all villain minis to date into a points system, allowing you to pitch approximately equal valued teams against each other. If the teams are not of an absolutely identical price, the team costing least points goes first.

For those who want to know the formula for the points, it's basically (movement+2xattack+defend+2xBody+Mind, Plus 1 for being magic user, +1 for each spellcard they can access. +an additional bonus for any special skills. + a bonus for being a large creature if they are on multiple squares)Divided by 3, and rounded to the closest number, for ease of use.

To place the mini into the stand, slide it backwards, from the large peg, snapping it firmly into place. I reccomend using 100% infill for strength, and actually slightly faster print times.

This set may get an update of a trophy, and a dragon egg "Football", if i feel the desire to do a herobowl minigame.

3D printing settings

Not reccomended forresin, print at full infill, print in your chosen "team colour" rather than paint, especially if you've painted your minis.
