Description

Made this right after I've purchased the printer as included spool bracket was difficult to access . maybe someone will also find it useful. Works with led frame up to 50mm tall. My one is 27mm .

It can be mounted at two different heights. it can be swivelled if you don't want the spool to protrude past the printer.

To attach the bracket to the printer use M3x30 screws with washers (you can print spacers if you have longer screws)

Bracket and arm are on the first plate, print those using strong settings 0.20mm layer and 6 wall thickness plus 5 walls at the bottom and at the top.

Thumb screws are on the second plate . Print them using 0.08mm layers and make them strong (min 6 walls)

Spool holder parts are on the third plate. You can print using standard setting 0.20mm layer and 3 walls. to complete it you need

  1. Printed parts
  2. 1x M8x100mm bolt with hex head or M8 threaded rod and a M8 nut (that is what I used). If you find the hole for the bolt is a bit tight clean it with 8mm drill bit, we want tight fit.
  3. 2x 608 bearings,
  4. 1x M8 nut
  5. 2x M8 washers

Make sure you use the small shims from the printed parts as shown in the exploded view. they stop the bearings from binding
