Description

Henry Hoover Novelty Planter/Desk Tidy

Features:

  • Scale model of a real Henry Hoover
  • 10cm diameter
  • Functional wheels
  • Split into multiple pieces for easy printing
  • Push fit assembly
  • 100% 3D printed
  • No AMS needed* (black text only)
  • Strong and durable design
  • Indoor or outdoor use
  • Centre hole for plant drainage (Add a dish underneath to collect water)

Assembly Tips:

  • Refer to the pictures for where the parts go.
  • You can't particularly mess it up as everything will only fit in its designated position (Wheels and wheel adaptors are identical so can be used on left or right sides)
  • Press the mouth in from the large side first and continue to firmly push along the mouth until it is fully seated (Don't be afraid to give it a tap with a hammer to fully seat it).
  • The eyes will press fit in place with two separate parts. If they are slightly loose and want to fall out whilst moving Henry, then simply add a small amount of superglue and re fit.
  • Refer to the pictures for instructions on how to secure the rear wheels in place.

Thank you for sharing. It was very easy to print, apart from the mouth piece, which (for me) required some x y size compensation in Prusa slicer. Sadly, I run a Delta printer and it has some "quirks" so I'm pretty certain it was down to that. My wife LOVES it (and so do all of her friends) It makes people smile, which is a gift in itself. Well done. Genuinely, one of my favourite prints for effort vs reward. Thanks again. p.s. @user_3560716077 mentioned an attachment hose. The hose itself would be easy to do. Just get a length of 20mm corrugated plastic hose. About £1 from Ali express. Just a thought.

I did consider it...but it would be an absolute nightmare to print, especially using TPU to make it flexible lol. I am planning to make a miniature set of gardening tools that will sit in the rear nozzle attachment slots though! :D

Replying to @Zurlingo3D :
I think a vase mode hose is doable in TPU? Then a threaded.... retaining ring? (not sure what to call it lol), made from PLA, to attach it to the main body? And maybe a screw top lid with handle? How about a version with no text, so people can add different names? Eyelashes for Hetty Hover? Just some thoughts lol :D This is still another great model from you. Thank you for sharing :)

Brilliant design. I hope to print this soon. Is there any chance the letters could be done as a file for people who cant paint to well.
