This model is a functional (!) differential gear. It is easy to print and assemble.

Only 2 pcs. M3X20mm screws are required. The gearbox is designed with sufficient play and is easy to assemble. If support is used when printing, it should be carefully removed from the teeth. Be careful if the model is to be run in with a cordless screwdriver or similar - strong friction COULD melt and destroy the model at these points.

This model clearly shows how such a gearbox works and why the opposite wheel wants to turn in the other direction when a gear is engaged (in a car - blocked drive train)...
