This is the American M782, a High-Explosive (HE), inductively set, centrifugal and setback-armed, Point-Detonating (PD), Proximity (PRX), time and delay, Multi-Option-Fuze (MOF) projectile fuze used on all NATO bursting type projectiles.

The M782 MOF is an inductive setting only fuze operable with all existing and developmental artillery systems (105mm and 155mm), including Paladin and Crusader.

Inductive fuze setting takes up to 1.5 seconds compared to hand setting which takes up to 20 seconds.

The fuze was designed with EOD considerations in mind.

The voltage in the battery bleed resistor and processor should dissipate within 30 minutes of arming and failure.

Another circuit is incorporated into the design to discharge the battery as a fail-safe.

On munition firing the setback pin disengaged from the rotor.

Spin-locks, move out from the centrifugal force.
